{"id":162,"date":"2011-02-14T15:54:31","date_gmt":"2011-02-14T15:54:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.corkgo.org\/?p=162"},"modified":"2011-10-04T17:32:38","modified_gmt":"2011-10-04T16:32:38","slug":"identity-crisis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.corkgo.org\/?p=162","title":{"rendered":"Identity Crisis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/cs1.ucc.ie\/~iw9\/\">UCC Club<\/a> is changing its name, as per a recent statement on the club&#8217;s mailing list:<\/p>\n<p><em>In other news, the name of the club is changing; from UCC Go Club to UCC Weiqi club (the difference being, as you probably know, that the former is Japanese and the latter Chinese). This is for a couple of reasons. Firstly, for those who don&#8217;t know, &#8220;go&#8221; is an uninteresting term which doesn&#8217;t attract much attention at first glance. &#8220;Weiqi&#8221;, on the other hand, makes us sound like dancing ninja monkeys. Or something.
